How Cransten Got Started

Trevor Maddux founded Cransten Handyman and Remodeling in 2017, drawing on a lifetime of construction experience. Growing up in California with a father who was a General Contractor, Trevor was immersed in the trade from age three, often helping on job sites as a "wire monkey" running electrical in ceilings and performing other odd jobs.

After a brief stint helping scale Vivint, a leading smart security and solar installation company, Trevor returned to construction in 2015, flipping homes in Utah. For the first time, he found himself hiring other contractors, an experience that opened his eyes to the challenges faced by consumers in the industry. Encountering unreliable workers, questionable skills, and frequent no-shows, Trevor resolved to improve the handyman and remodeling process for everyone.

In 2017, Trevor sought to establish Cransten Handyman and Remodeling as the premier company in the handyman and remodeling industry across the United States. Since its inception, the company has consistently grown, refining its systems and processes to deliver superior service to clients.

Currently, Cransten operates in major metropolitan areas across Utah, Colorado, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with plans for further expansion. The company is driven by a passion for beautifying homes and a belief that everyone deserves to live in a space they love.
